Growing up in Northern Illinois, I developed a deep love for the outdoors—the smell of the woods, fresh air, quiet woodland trails, open prairies, peaceful lakeshores, changing seasons, and the simple comforts of a cozy evening at home.
As a mom, that appreciation for the simple things eventually became something more personal. I found myself looking more closely at the products I was using on my family and searching for soaps made with thoughtfully selected ingredients, without the unnecessary additives I wanted to avoid. I spent years trying different soaps, often spending more on products that left my skin feeling dry, irritated, or simply didn't provide the clean, rich feeling I wanted for everyday life and outdoor adventures. I wanted something simpler—something that cleansed well, felt good on the skin, and was made with ingredients I could feel good about using on my family.
That search for something better became the inspiration behind Northwoods Bath Co. What started at home grew into a love for creating handcrafted soaps and bath and body products made in small batches with quality ingredients, thoughtful care, and a whole lot of heart.
